The writer of the article is from top gear….he usually does test drives on far more luxiorious brands (the last one being the bugatti). I think that sometimes he forgets that the vehicle being tested is the cheapest hybrid available at $23,900 vs the $100,000 plus vehicles he’s typically known to drive and review. Most of the vehicles that he usually test drives are sports cars…hhhmm…is it fair to compare? I think the sales of the insight in Japan are a testimonial in itself!

The #1 position that the Honda Insight has achieved is the domestic market in Japan. It knocked the Toyota Prius out of that spot!

How a very -well engineered vehicle like the Honda Insight
voted best car of its class in Japan get a bad review form a Toronto Star Columnist?

You know, I’m not sure why the review is so negative. The Insight has been top in sales for Honda the last few months, and interestingly, has been key in sales despite the fact that its a recession.

The controversial article on the Insight page is, I think, trying too hard to compare the Insight to a luxury car rather than what it is – a hybrid which is working to provide the best driving experience at an affordable rate.

I think the hybrid does not appease the author’s personal taste, but based on the top sales, most people are going to love the Insight!! :)

  • Stacey Ison (Vice President Toronto Honda): Did you know that Nissan and Infinity are connected as well?
  • torontohondaguru: Its interesting, but for a long time, I had no idea Toyota and Lexus were connected, or Acura and Civic. In my opinion they are promoted seperately en
